Here's a statement of the obvious: The opinions expressed here are those of the participants, not those of the Mutual Fund Observer. We cannot vouch for the accuracy or appropriateness of any of it, though we do encourage civility and good humor.
FYI: Fund managers are pulling cash out of European equity and debt markets in response to concerns about the continent’s fractious politics, ultralow interest rates and weak banks, and relentless economic malaise. Regards, Ted http://www.wsj.com/articles/investors-check-out-of-europe-1463951411
2 world wars they don't want to repeat. Can't get out of their own way, but I can't imagine the EU breaking up. They need the FISCAL union, now. Probably take a couple of centuries. For stupid Americans: just imagine portable health-care coverage that is INTERNATIONAL. Want to move from Ireland to the Riviera? Or the sunny south coast of Portugal? Fill out a form, and it's done!!! And Brexit? Fuggedaboudit. They are too very linked to the continent. They wrote their own ticket, anyhow, not agreeing to use the euro.
