Smart Investors Should Avoid Smart Beta ETF's

FYI: (Click On Article Title At Top Of Google Search)
What goes up must come down. This Newtonian truth recently caused a stir when applied to the fund industry’s latest cash cow: “smart beta.”

Rob Arnott, CEO of Research Affiliates, forecast a reasonable probability of a “smart-beta crash” in a report that was provocative in part because Arnott is regarded as one of the founders of the increasingly broad style of investing. Questions as to whether many smart-beta strategies are poised to go “horribly wrong” for investors are unusually direct in a generally staid industry.
