Pimco ETF Rakes In Cash Despite Continued Stock Rally
It's kinda interesting to see the difference in returns between the etf and the oef for the first month; I'm curious to see if it persists in the next few months. (Sure, not definitive for a short period, but interesting nonetheless.)
The etf (TRXT, soon to be changed to BOND) is up 1.6%, versus the oef (PTTRX), which is essentially flat. No premium on the etf either - it's trading at a very slight discount to the NAV as of the Friday close. Is it the fresh start with a small asset base, a different portfolio makeup, the lack of derivatives, a combination of all three, or something else at work? (As I recall, there won't be a holdings report for a while.)
