Coalition Pressures Vanguard On Political Spending Proxies

FYI: A coalition of consumers and investors says it is focusing its efforts on getting Vanguard to join in the efforts of shareholder activists.

  • I'm not all Rambo about it but I think that it would be interesting to know who/what companies support and more importantly the why of it. I'm not sure that mutual fund companies should be leading the charge but then again they do have the votes. And lest we forget, mutual fund companies also may have their own agenda. Tricky stuff.
