That negative/low interest rate thing.....some whole life insurance policy sales suspended, Japan

One may transition the affect of this low interest rate period into whatever other products you choose, including your own rate of return.

I'm thinking of pension program funding as one area of "ouch".

Although I recall the advertised rate of return posted by so many pension and related programs from the past several decades using an 8% annual return, one does have to wonder if those goals were met.
Add this to under-funding of pension programs and real problems may exist. This area of concern is not new news, as we have be alerted to pension funding fails for the past several years.
