Conflicts of interest in private equity

I was reading this discussion by SEC staff https://www.sec.gov/news/speech/2011/spch050311cvd.htm regarding conflicts of interest in the private equity space. One thing that was not covered was the interaction between between private equity firms and investment banking firms. The two must do a lot of business together. So, could that bias the analyst coverage or ratings of companies that private firms take public?

Thanks,
Alban
