FYI: U.S.-stock mutual funds fell along with the overall market in January—a weak start to 2016 after a disappointing 2015, when markets ended a six-year streak of annual gains.
The average diversified U.S.-stock mutual fund had a negative 6.3% return in the month, according to data from Thomson Reuters Corp.
