Mark Hulbert: What’s Really Happening In The Junk-Bond Market

FYI: Plunging prices in the junk-bond market don’t spell doom for either the economy or the stock market.

That means, once again, that most investment commentators have gotten it wrong. In recent days they have been arguing that, since the junk-bond, or high-yield, market is a leading indicator, its recent weakness portends both an economic recession as well as a bear market on Wall Street.
