  • Nice Reuters article on Lipper. Or, "nice Reuters article on Reuters." Our review of the Lipper website begins:
    Lipperweb is the online face Lipper. Michael Lipper founded
    the firm in 1973 to provide data to the mutual fund industry.
    Lipperweb launched in 1996. Mike Lipper sold the company to
    Reuters in 1998.
    Oddly, no disclosure of that fact in the Reuters story.

    Which doesn't, by the way, reflect any criticism of Hank's post (thanks for the post, big guy!) or even the Lipper Awards. It's just nice when journalists own up to these conflicts.
