Chuck Jaffe: Mutual Funds Should Be Giving Investors More For Their Money

FYI:The mutual fund business believes that the only thing it owes you for your money is a positive return.

It is right, to a point, because no one is going to complain when returns are good enough.

But the math tells us that half of all funds are below-average performers, and plenty of funds that top their average peer come up with other ways of being disappointments, from inconsistent returns to causing tax headaches and more.
