“Safety” ETFs Not As Safe As They Seem

FYI: (Click On Article Title At Top Of Google Search)
While I was learning to drive, my mother kept her hand on the emergency brake at all times. It may have seemed like a safety precaution, but had she actually used it while I was driving, it could have sent us careening.
The same goes for some “safety” features of exchange-traded funds. A growing number of ETFs offer built-in hedging strategies that are triggered when the market falls. That may sound comforting, but it can cause an accident—especially if you’re unaware that someone else is slamming on the brakes.
