When you are charging 2% of assets and 20% of profits, why is this news? We though hedge funds started out of the kindness of anyone's hearts?
We need to seriously consider what we are spending our time reading. It is of no help helping us invest or add to our intellect or financial education. We now "know" that hedge funds first like to gather assets and it is totally secondary who manages the fund. Because 2% and 20% makes the manager irrelevant. Got it.
