Just a morning coffee break observation. But, if this move holds; some sectors may be strongly impacted today.
Appears jobs report is a major factor.

  • ICE and CME up nicely, I'm guessing on potential increases in interest rate futures trading.
  • I'm using this as an indicator of reducing EM exposure. Dollar keeps getting stronger, EMs keep getting weaker.

Hi Catch - Yikes ... Agree it was a weird day - but not following all that closely. I doubt the trend you mention can continue for very long. Yellen&Co seem to have spooked many markets with recent talk of a rate increase in time for Christmas. That whole (Fed) operation is starting to remind me of a runaway train.:)

Equities were up sligltly, but some funds like PRWCX that should have benefited fell. Both domestic and foreign denominated bonds seem to have fallen, and gold dropped through the $1100 floor after 1-2 months of gains.
