FYI:There is a narrow swath of the market, though, where historically wide markdowns remain available to pretty much anyone. Closed-end funds are like mutual funds, except their shares trade on an exchange like a stock. For this reason, their shares often trade at a premium or (more commonly) a discount to the net asset value of the securities they hold.
