8% of S&P 500 Stocks Remain Above 50-DMAs; P/E Ratio Down to 16.75

FYI: Just days ago the S&P 500′s trailing 12-month P/E ratio was sitting near 19. After the last week or so, we’ve seen it dip all the way down to 16.75.
In the second chart below, we highlight the percentage of stocks in the S&P 500 trading above their 50-days after today’s rout. At this point just 8% of stocks in the index are above their 50-days, which is below the reading we saw at the lows during the Ebola scare last October.

Ted

I realize you are only the messenger of this link, but how is it that you can link an article professing the value of charts, when in another thread, you warn,

"@MFO Members: As the Linkster has said on many occasions, there is a chart room on every ship at the bottom of the sea.

    Ted"

I only accept this type of behavior from my wife! Out to the woodshed for you sailor!

I do agree that charts are telling us where we have been, not where we are going and in your case...it's the woodshed.

Just pulling your chart. Have a good day captain.
