FYI: Traders described a “rudderless” trading session, with U.S. stocks and bonds ending mostly flat. European markets got a bounce, as did the Shanghai Composite, as nerves calmed that China’s currency devaluation would intensify. Oil prices took a sharp leg lower, with West Texas Intermediate dropping to fresh six-year lows.
