David's August commentary has a section about a new small cap mutual fund from Triad Asset Management. I looked at the company website (not the mutual fund site) and they show their small cap equity performance for the past year is -9.5% vs. Russel 2000 at +6.5%. Maybe I'm missing something, but that doesn't give me much confidence to invest in their new small cap mutual fund?
Their other investment strategies don't seem to be performing well compared to their benchmarks. A link to their company website and small cap strategy is listed below.
