FYI: The June jobs report, due out Thursday at 8:30 a.m. EDT, could confirm that the U.S. economy is strengthening, despite rising global turmoil. Economists forecast a gain of 233,000 jobs in June, a slowdown from 280,000 in May. Still, that would keep job growth above 200,000 mark for the 15th time in the past 16 months. Economists expect the jobless rate to dip to 5.4% from 5.5%.
