Stocks That Make Top Small-Cap Core Funds Tick

FYI: Core mutual funds, which invest in both growth and value stocks, often perform somewhere between the two other styles and occasionally outperform. But in the past 10 years small-cap core funds are lagging both. It seems the average core fund has been slightly out of phase with the market in the past few years, either too much in value stocks when growth was on the upswing or vice versa.
