Vanguard To Designate Prime And Tax-Exempt Money Market Funds For Individuals

FYI: Vanguard today announced plans for its money market mutual fund lineup that will enable individual and institutional investors to continue to have access to cash management vehicles at a stable $1 net asset value (NAV).

Fund companies are preparing for the rule changes differently. Fidelity Investments, for instance, proposed plans to convert prime money market funds, so they hold Treasury debt instead of short-term corporate paper.
