Investments All About Needs

FYI: Dear John: I have cash assets of $250,000 and I’m contemplating depositing $55,000 into the Vanguard Wellesley Income Fund Admiral Shares, which has low processing fees, and $55,000 into the Vanguard Wellington Fund Admiral Shares. I’m 75 years old and my Social Security and pension total $1,600 a month. With such a small income, do you think the investments I am considering are wise? L.S.
Regards,
Ted
