FYI: Another quiet day. In fact, this week is on pace to be the slowest for volumes since New Year’s. A report from in China showed shrinkage in the world’s second-largest economy for the third month in a row; in the U.S., weekly jobless claims tumbled. Does good data bode ill for the U.S. stock market because it will make the Federal Reserve hawkish? Is bad economic data in China good because it will make the People’s Bank of China dovish? Oil prices gained ground.
