Have you seen articles on ways to lose money on The Street? I haven’t until recently. Here's a 10 rule loser's tip sheet.
It is my imperfect reproduction of a list generated by Humphrey Neill a long, long time ago.
1. Trust gossip.
2. Believe everything you hear.
3. When uncertain-guess.
4. Follow the crowd.
5. Be impatient and quick.
6. Be greedy and squeeze the last drop from a rising market.
7. Trade on thin margins.
8. Right or wrong, never change your opinion.
9. Never be out of the market.
10. Sell on small profits and large loses.
I’m sure no MFOer falls victim to these vices.
