FYI: For the first time in five years, American investors are turning their attention overseas. As the six-year U.S. bull market slows, international markets are surging: European benchmarks recently hit record highs; Japan’s Nikkei sits near a 15-year high; and the Shanghai composite has more than doubled over the past year. ETF investors have been quick to capitalize on this shift, pulling $29 billion from U.S. stock exchange-traded funds this year alone, and pouring $69 billion into international ETFs, according to Credit Suisse.
