As access to mainland-listed ‘A shares’ expands, there are questions about tax on gains from 2009-14...."Greg Hinkle, the treasurer of T. Rowe Price Group’s mutual funds, says the firm believes U.S. citizens and residents shouldn’t be affected by the tax because of protections in the U.S./China treaty, “so we see no reason our mutual-fund investors should be concerned.” Other firms also commented on the impact.
