For global portfolio managers like Nick Niziolek at Calamos Investments, emerging markets lost some of their appeal over the past year.
Niziolek co-manages five funds, with varying degrees of emerging-market exposure. In the $677 million Calamos International Growth fund (ticker: CIGRX), he and his colleagues have reduced their allocation to the developing world from roughly 20% of assets a year ago to about 15%.
