ETF Market Vital Signs, April 17: Selling Was Brisk
FYI: Selling was brisk across global stock markets, while bond and gold prices rose. Concerns that Greece may be creeping toward default mixed with news that China cracked down on how investors use borrowed money to buy stocks, hitting China-related exchange-traded funds such as the iShares China Large-Cap ETF (FXI). In Europe, Germany’s DAX index dropped 2.6%, it’s biggest one-day stumble in 3 1/2 months.
