Fund Manager Focus: Ira Rothberg ,Co-Manager, Hennessy Focus Fund

FYI: With only just 22 companies in his portfolio and an average seven-year holding period, Ira Rothberg doesn’t chase hot stocks or booming sectors. The co-manager of the Hennessy Focus fund (ticker: HFCSX ) says he won’t venture outside of his knowledge base to try to get a piece of a rally. “You will not see us investing in biotechnology,” says Rothberg. “I don’t have a degree in molecular biology, and we simply cannot build an informational advantage there.”
