I'm not a lawyer but at what point does this become defamation? If one of my previous employees buys the domain name with my name and .sucks, do I have any way to protect myself? I'm sure if someone publishes false information about someone else and damages them then the law protects you (with a cost), but just the domain name in and of itself seems to assassinate an individual's character.
Well, that word simply connotes an opinion, rather than a fact. (Unless one is discussing vacuum cleaners or certain pleasurable human activities.) In that context, it's hard to see defamation, since opinion is certainly protected speech.
