Jeffrey Gundlach‘s actively managed bond exchange-traded fund hit the market on Tuesday, a closely watched debut in an industry where passive indexes are usually touchstones.

The SPDR DoubleLine Total Return Tactical exchange-traded fund (TOTL) is a partnership between the $64 billion bond manager and State Street Global Advisors, a unit of State Street (STT). The ETF is marketed as a “core” bond fund, one that reaches across the global fixed-income market
