ETF Market Vital Signs, Feb. 12: Nasdaq-100 Jumps To Nearly 15-Year High

FYI: Rally on! Word of an 11th-hour cease-fire struck between Russia and Ukraine allowed investors to look past the second disappointing retail sales number in a row. But what didn’t materialize in Commerce Department data seemed to appear in strong earnings of consumer companies including Whole Foods (WFM) and TripAdvisor (TRIP), which joined forces with Apple (AAPL) to vault the Nasdaq-100 Index to its highest close since March 2000. Still no clear word from negotiations with Greece, but Sweden launched a bond-buying program and juiced that market. Oil pushed back above $50 a barrel.
Regards,
Ted
