The U.S. stock market is sometimes referred to as “the best house in a bad neighborhood.”

That makes sense given its outperformance in recent years and the resiliency of the U.S. economy. Moreover, Europe is desperately trying to spur growth as economic activity slows in China amid widespread concerns about global deflation. Not surprisingly, U.S. stocks have drawn investors from around the globe.
