Equity and bonds........no love in many places.
Crude was down 9% at one point.....have not bothered to check again.

Oh, well; as long as you're having fun and making money, too.

    Hi Catch. I was actually hoping to unload a little PRNEX (loaded with refiners) today after the recent bounce. Still love the fund, but am seriously overweight in it. However, patience is a virtue in investing. There will come another day.

    Must be getting delirious. Would swear I glanced at Bloomberg and the Dow was up 100 points or more just 20 minutes ago. (Actually it's in the red as I write near the close.)

    Back to oil. ... It has come a long way very fast. I think the trend is up ...but we're talking months, not days. Yes - the markets all appear "bouncy" this week.

    Regards

    @hank

    Ya, a bit strange right now, eh?

    EDIT TIME: near the market close; IG bonds are back in fashion and to hell with the other stuff.
    I'll have to check............what caused the big equity market flop ???

    Non-investing sidenote: just finished clearing most of the house roof from the big snow Sunday night. Northeast winds really raise hell with snow drifting upon the roof. 'Course, this part of why some of us older folks invest for profit, eh? There will be days in the not to distant furture when I will pay to have this work performed.
  • Day traders have got to be having a (profitable) ball
  • Just before the close, must have been close to 3:30pm, the ECB revoked a waiver that allowed banks to use Greek government debt as collateral. Stocks fell sharply, the Euro plunged, the yen strengthened a bit and I think, but haven't checked broadly, bonds strengthened a decent amount. Not only was the timing of this rather strange, but I think everyone is shocked that there's any action, rather than just politics and strong words, in the negotiations between the new Greek government and the rest of Europe.
  • Re snow: I feel for you guys down state. Northern areas have escaped thus far. I cleared 3-4 inches with the blower today just to get some excercise. Careful on that roof boy!
