This might be the end of an era for Tootsie Roll as they have fended off mergers in the past.

    Thank you Maurice for such a detailed history of Tootsie Roll. Their products have likely funded college educations for countless children of dentists...

    I never knew that my wife's beloved Dots candy were part of Tootsie Roll's portfolio of brands.
