FYI: Index funds are one of the markets greatest gifts for the little guy. Once upon a time, you'd have two options: Eat a host of trading fees while trying to amass the number of stocks it would take to create a diversified, bulletproof portfolio, or pay the heads of an actively managed fund exorbitant expenses to do the work for you.
