Market Direction Week of December 15, 2014

Last Week Review: After seven consecutive weeks higher, stocks fell as they took their lead from poor global economic data and declining oil prices. On the positive side, domestic economic readings suggest continued improvement as consumer sentiment and retail sales both beat expectations. Declining gasoline prices, strong job growth, and record high equity prices have all helped contribute to the strength in the economy. While certain areas of the country, economy and companies will suffer, we believe declining gas prices are an overall benefit.
