Top Performing Funds: Core Style Straddles The Line
FYI: Core mutual funds, which invest in both growth and value stocks, have outperformed both individual styles in the past 15 years and have been pushing ahead of value funds since the spring of last year. A $10,000 investment in the average core fund on Sept. 30, 1999, would have grown to $30,121 by Dec. 2 this year, according to Morningstar data.
