Sigh, here we go again. Sequoia may not seek publicity, but it's really hard to consider what Jaffe (in his usual excessive style) called "the Holy Grail of mutual funds", and (more significantly) that was extensively covered in the press in 2008 when it reopened, unknown.
Then there's Wells Fargo Advantage Growth, which according to this article, by holding a larger than average number of small and mid cap stocks than the typical large cap fund, is wandering from its mandate to "select equity securities of companies of all market capitalizations." Summary Prospectus
Vanguard Health Care, a twenty billion dollar, retail fund, the elephant in its sector, is apparently also unknown. Maybe all sector funds are unknown.
It's that time of year - top ten funds of 2011, top ten funds you must buy now, top ten turnarounds, top ten dogs, top ten funds of the millenium (so far), etc.
