5 Reasons To Still Go Into A Bank Branch

FYI: Technological advances are now allowing people to transfer money, deposit checks and pay their bills from their home computers and smartphones. Getting cash from an ATM often requires only walking or driving by the outside of a branch. (One side effect: fewer bank tellers, along with diminished stature and pay for those workers.) • Very true for me. In fact when I rolled my 401k to an IRA, the brokerage I chose had to have brick and morter in my area. I want to sit face to face with a human when I have questions or problems or need advice. Probably a baby boomer thing.
  • Not just a boomer thing. When I go I bring my online research with me. Which is only sometimes helpful.

  • "the brokerage I chose had to have brick and mortar in my area."

You had better believe it. Schwab is one block away, and I know how to get there.
