FYI: The S&P 500 reached a new all-time high on Halloween, the same day that V2 Capital launched the V2 Hedged Equity Fund (VVHEX), an “open-ended” single-manager mutual fund utilizing V2’s proprietary hedged-equity strategy. Although the fund only started trading last week, it launched with assets previously invested in V2’s Hedged Equity Strategy limited partnership, and thus its $240 million in assets represents the largest hedged equity mutual fund launch of 2014.
