FYI: Jobless claims for the latest week came in slightly ahead of forecasts, but still remain right near their multi-year lows. While economists were expecting a print of 285K, the actual reading came in at 287K, which was an increase of 3K from last week. For the sake of perspective, even though claims rose and were higher than expected, there have only been seven other weeks in the last ten years where claims have been lower than they were this week.
