FYI: The top-performing bond mutual funds this year and for the past five years aren't the ones where investors have invested most of their assets.
The biggest bond mutual funds categories tracked by Lipper are core bond funds with $590.99 billion in assets, followed by high-yield funds with $296.48 billion, multisector income with $157.88 billion, international income with $144.75 billion and loan participation with $135.25 billion.
