FYI: As the liquid alternatives mutual fund universe continues to expand, new tools are needed to assess the performance of the several distinct liquid alternative investment strategies. In response to this need, Wilshire Associates launched its initial two liquid alternative indices (the Wilshire Alternative Index and the Wilshire Focused Liquid Alternative Index) back in early August, which was designed to measure the aggregate performance of the liquid alternative mutual fund universe. Now Wilshire has broken out the results of the separate strategies with the launch of its five new strategy sub-indices.
