FYI: Below, we chart a heatmap showing the year-to-date performance for each sector at the end of every trading day of the year. Red areas indicate underperformance versus other sectors year-to-date, while green areas indicate outperformance. So the darkest red sectors are the worst performers year-to-date at whatever point in the year you're looking at, while the darkest green sectors are the best performers year-to-date at that point. Using this visualization, it's easy to track the over- or under-performance for each sector as the year has progressed.
