Alliance Bernstein Launches Long/Short Multi-Manager Fund

FYI: Despite already having one of the most extensive lineups of alternative mutual funds on the market, AllianceBerstein has introduced one more, and its third for the year. The AllianceBerstein Long/Short Multi-Manager Fund (LSAMX), launched on September 30, became the firm’s eleventh alternative mutual fund. However, unlike all of its earlier funds, except for the AllianceBernstein Multi-Manager Alternative Strategies Fund, which launched in July of this year, this fund is managed by multiple external sub-advisors and leverages the firm’s vast experience in managing allocations to external hedge fund manager.

    Very interesting fund, given the portions I bolded above. Very expensive fund in terms of ER, but some solid management teams.

    Just imagine what a wonderful batch of chili could be put together with just a few more cooks in the kitchen.

    Wonder what the transcripts of these meetings read; to decide what to throw together, for something else, for the investing public.

    Apparently a strange alignment of the solar system continues. Need to check the charts again, looking for moons in the wrong houses, etc.
