FYI: Investors looking to access a long/short equity strategy through an exchange-traded fund have a growing number of options these days as the list of long/short equity ETFs grew on September 9 when the First Trust Long/Short Equity ETF (FTLS) began trading. The fund’s objective is to provide investors with long-term total returns by constructing a portfolio of both long and short positions in U.S. and foreign companies trading on U.S. exchanges.
