Recency bias, is it going well for you this year

I wanted to append this to the MAPIX discussion but possibly it needs a wider audience. FWIW

  • I am rebalancing gains into MAPIX since it is a long term hold for me. I am trying to maintain a 15% exposure to EM through these funds (WAEMX, TRAMX, PRLAX, MAPIX) . PRLAX is a new addition to my holdings and has had a long downward trend over the last three years:

  • I think this is a good example of a fund where the underlying markets for the fund have been out of favor than the fund unraveling. It is useful to make that distinction.

    The investment thesis for the fund still seems valid for the long term so far.
