For your betting pleasure; With the weather being mild, I expect a high scoring game and predict Denver 37 Seattle 21. Give the -2.5 points and take the over 48 points. Regards, Ted
Manning will be tough to defeat. He is an expert at those piddly, stupid, no-account 2 and 3 yard junk-passes. Which is why his numbers look so good. If Seattle is the underdog, then I'll be cheering for them, rather than the Broncos. The 'hawks have appeared before, but never won it.
Couple of articles on Rufus Peabody and what he's betting this year. Peabody is one of maybe 10-15 people in the world who can single-handedly move a line. The money is all in prop bets, not things like spreads or over-unders:
Reply to @Ted: Ha. @ 17-10 take the yes on Knowshon crying, easy. I'd also go over on the Anthem, but not @ 5-8. Glove color is too random, but @ 11-4 would be willing to take a pass on white.
Barrons forecast Denver based on a view that Seattle is overpriced since it has shown a high return on investment for its bettors this year. I myself am watching Sherlock Holmes on PBS and the ads on Hulu tomorrow. I may watch the halftime show.
