    Good read. Yes - many fund managers engage in some type of timing - with mixed results. Law of Averages says some will get it right sometimes, and many, like Dr.Hussman, will get it wrong most of the time (which paradoxically should improve the success rate for the remaining managers:-)

    That aside, sounds like the majority of us here do some sort of timing. (See current thread on "What are you buying, selling or pondering?") Hmmm ... perhaps it's testament go our own egos or feelings of omnipotence that we continue to try. Don't know. But most of us, including myself, engage in some form of timing. Regards

    Well, so what!

    Some have good success with it ... and, I feel it has added a little extra to own my portfolio's performance.

    I have linked Ron Rowland's Leadership Stratey which is one that I often reference to see where Mr. Roland thinks the faster currents are in the markets. In addition, I have linked the Mooses calls below that of Mr. Rowland's. He seems to have done pretty well too.
