USFIX is a fairly new (M* catagorizes it as a mutisector bond) mutual fund through USAA. Bond durations of the fund are as follows:

Some bonds mature in the year 2067. I won't be around for that bond burning party.

Any thoughts on this fairly new fund from a company that has a very good reputation for bond funds?

  • Dear Bee: I agree that USAA, which has always been good to military personal, has an excellent reputation, however the fund is to new,7/12/13, to evaluate. It sure has a slant toward the long end of the maturity spectrum. Here's how it stacks up against PONCX in Bond Maturity Breakdown.
